1. Who we are
This website is operated by POWER BOX TECHNOLOGIES LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16480924, with its registered office at 14 Warwick Road, Liverpool, L36 1UU, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, “our”).
We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. We process it in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. For any privacy question, email info@powerboxtechnologies.diy.
2. Information we collect
- Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and company name when you contact us or place an order.
- Enquiry content: the messages you send us through our contact form, email or phone.
- Order and billing details: the plan you bought, billing name and address, email, phone number and payment status. Card payments are handled by Stripe, so we never receive or store your full card number.
- Service information: details you share so we can deliver automations, software development or platform access, such as user accounts, system settings and support requests.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and request logs collected by our hosting provider to keep the site secure and working.
3. How we use your information
We use personal data only where we have a lawful basis:
- To reply to enquiries and prepare quotes, which is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To provide our services, manage your subscription and give you support, which is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To process payments, issue receipts and keep accounting records, which we must do to meet our legal obligations.
- To protect our website and systems from fraud and misuse, and to improve our services, which are our legitimate interests.
- To send you news about our services, only where you have given consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying to any message or emailing us.
4. Data we process on your behalf
When our services involve your business systems, such as your CRM or customer records, we may process personal data that belongs to you and your customers. In that case you are the controller and we act as your processor. We process that data only on your documented instructions, keep it confidential and secure, and can provide a data processing agreement on request.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run our business, under contracts that protect it:
- Stripe, which processes card payments and subscriptions.
- Netlify, which hosts this website and stores contact form submissions.
- Email, cloud and productivity providers we use to communicate and deliver our services.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where needed.
- Law enforcement or regulators, where the law requires it.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers, including Stripe and Netlify, may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on safeguards approved under UK law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t lead to an order: up to 24 months.
- Customer, order and transaction records: 6 years after the end of our contract, to meet UK tax and accounting rules.
- Data we process on your behalf: returned or deleted within 30 days of your subscription ending, unless the law requires us to keep it.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections, access controls, strong authentication and least-privilege access to protect personal data. No system is completely secure, but we review our measures regularly and will tell you and the Information Commissioner’s Office about a data breach where the law requires it.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, ask us to erase it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email info@powerboxtechnologies.diy. We’ll respond within one month.
10. Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. When you go to checkout, Stripe sets cookies on its own pages that are needed to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. Stripe’s use of those cookies is covered by its own privacy policy.
11. Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. To contact us about privacy:
